I am proud to call Tuftonboro my hometown. Growing up in this picturesque town, surrounded by the beauty of woodlands, lakes, and ponds, has instilled a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Much of my childhood was spent engaging in various outdoor activities, from swimming and biking to building forts and exploring with my sister Megan and our family.
My love for ice hockey was fostered early; playing at the Pop and skiing at Abenaki added another layer to my outdoor adventures. These experiences provided me with countless memories and played a crucial role in shaping my confidence and character.
I graduated from Kingswood in 2002 and pursued my passion for Business Management and Communications at Plymouth State University, earning my BA in 2006. During my time at PSU, I proudly represented the university as part of the women's hockey team, and I cherish the recognition our team received during my senior year.
After college, my journey led me to the Seacoast, where I worked in management until 2009 when I decided to relocate to Wolfeboro. Then, I joined The Nick, an organization that holds a special place in my heart. Working for The Nick has allowed me to give back to the community that shaped me. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an organization that brings people together and fosters healthy living.
I now call Wolfeboro home with my husband and our sons, Sawyer and Dempsey. Living in this community has fulfilled my professional aspirations and provided a wonderful environment for my family.
As the Executive Director of The Nick, I am grateful to the founders whose hard work and dedication made this incredible facility possible for our community. I am committed to advancing The Nick and ensuring it remains a cherished space, fostering community connections and healthy living for years to come.
Sean Gilpatrick is our Lead Groundskeeper (and all-around good guy).
Sean joined The Nick staff as an Associate Groundskeeper in the summer of 2018 after spending the better part of two decades in the automotive industry. He, his wife Stacy, and two sons (Max and Ben) have been part of the Wolfeboro community since they moved here from Moultonboro in 2004. Stacy is a first grade teacher at Carpenter school, Max is a UNH Grad with a BA in History, and Ben is completing his Associates Degree in diesel mechanics.
The entire family has taken advantage of all the fun The Nick has offered since it opened. This included many seasons of little league baseball and soccer, walking the path, and running the track on weekends. Like so many people and families throughout our community “The Nick” has been, and continues to be, a big part of their lives for fun and recreation; even as the kids complete their college careers and head out into the working world.
Sean was promoted to Lead Groundskeeper in 2019 and is thrilled to be associated with the facility as it continues to grow. He welcomes your feedback and enjoys conversation about cars, history, literature, music, sports…basically everything!
