For the past two years, our small but mighty staff and dedicated volunteers have been working behind the scenes to create much-needed indoor recreational space to our community.
And now, as we get closer to opening the doors, we’re looking for someone special to join our team.
The Nick is a nonprofit, and we’re looking for a full-time Facility Operations Manager who wants to be part of more than simply running operations of our in and outdoor facilities. We’re looking for someone who shares our vision and values and genuinely cares about ensuring our facilities remain a place where people of all ages feel welcome, connected, and safe.
Our mission is Providing recreational spaces for a thriving community, and this new facility is one of the biggest steps we’ve ever taken toward fulfilling our mission since we opened our outdoor facility in 2007.
The right person will be hands-on, organized, resourceful, great with people, and comfortable jumping in wherever needed. Someone who notices the little things, takes pride in doing things well, can solve problems as they arise, and understands that in a small nonprofit, everyone pitches in.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who sees this as more than a facility to operate. We want someone who believes in what The Nick stands for and is excited to carry our mission, vision, and culture into this new space—helping ensure that from the day we open our doors, it feels like The Nick: welcoming, community-centered, and a place where everyone belongs.
There has been an incredible amount of work, heart, generosity, and community support poured into getting us to this point. Soon, the construction phase will end and the really exciting part begins: filling this building with people when we open the doors, just after the new year!
